| Skill. Teamwork. Fun. Stow Soccer Club is a parent-managed,
community soccer organization in Stow, Ohio that provides opportunities
for children ages 4-14 in Stow and its surrounding areas to
develop soccer skills, learn teamwork and fair play, and gain
a love of sports and physical activity.
Our mission is to help each child grow into his or her
potential as a soccer player, developing technical skills
and an understanding of the game in a positive and fun learning
environment, leading to a lifelong love of the sport. We offer two different soccer programs:
Youth Academy
Stow Soccer Club's Youth Academy is for players aged U5-U10. The Stow Soccer Club Youth Academy meets on Saturday mornings for two 90 minutes sessions. The U7/U8 group and the U9/U10 group meet from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The U5/U6 group meet from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM. The first 60 minutes of the session is a professional coaching academy where players are organized by a team parent/manager and taken through a 4-station academy working on the basic skills of soccer. Professional coaches are on hand to train the basic skills. The second 30 minutes of the session players break up into their "teams" to play small-sided games in a fun environment led by their team parent/manager.
Travel Soccer
For children ages 8 and up. Competitive soccer with 8-game
schedule in
the greater Akron area (usually 4 games played in Stow).
Focus is on
learning, teamwork, and fun. Practices are held twice weekly.
Season lasts
8-10 weeks in the fall and spring.
We are a member of the Greater
Akron Area Soccer Association and the Ohio
Youth Soccer Association North. |

We've been sending soccer balls to the Kick for Nick program for over two years now, in memory of fallen soldier Nick Madaras. Spring of 2010 we received a commendation from the US Army in recognition of our help to the American soldiers stationed in these countries. You see, the soccer balls we send are given to soldiers to hand out to kids they meet over there. It helps the kids and their parents be less afraid of the soldiers and so makes the soldiers' job easier and safer.
If you have an old soccer ball that you don't use anymore, we have a collection bin to receive them and you can even look at some photos of kids who have received soccer balls from our club. Just bring it with you when you come to practice or a Saturday Academy session.
