Stow SC Winter '25 #2 Competitive Soccer (Indoor)

Winter '25 Season #2 Competitive Soccer Registration is now open.

Season from *Approximately* January 10 , 2025 to March 15, 2025

Stow Soccer Club Travel Soccer (Indoor) - Ages U9 to U14

• Stow Soccer Club Teams play indoor in leagues at NC Soccer Hudson, Tallmadge REC Center, or other indoor facilities based on the team, and play various teams from the surrounding Northeast Ohio communities. Practices will be held at the KSU Fieldhouse and the new SMFHS Fieldhouse.

• Games are played weekly, mostly on Saturdays or Sundays depending on division. Some Friday games can be expected.

• Competitive teams are divided by age and skill level (when possible). Outdoor teams are kept together through the winter when possible. Accommodations can not always be made for requests to play with friends. Players are evaluated and placed on teams accordingly. Competitive teams rosters spots are NOT GUARANTEED at registration. RECreational players generally need to be invited to Stow SC Competitive teams. Roster spots will be give by Stow Soccer Club.

• Teams are coached by volunteer parents or our Stow Soccer Club staff coaches. All coaches must submit to a background check and be licensed by a state affiliation. All coaches and assistant coaches have passed a criminal background check, have complied with HB 143 - The Return to Play Law, regarding concussions, and Ohio's Lindsay's Law.

• Players may be invited to "play up" on an older team by Stow Soccer Club, normally when that player will be one of the top three players on the OLDER team, and by invite only, or when teams are combined due to registration numbers. Players cannot play down on a younger team.

Cost: $150.00 for 10 games and at least 7 practices (Older Competitive teams may also get training in the SMFHS weight room with our trainer Sarah Renard.)

MANDATORY EQUIPMENT:

- Soccer ball. Size 4 for age groups U9 through U12. Size 5 for age groups U13 through U15.

- Shin Guards

- Water bottle with water.

- Stow soccer uniform. (Two game jersey, 1 practice jersey, 1 short, and socks purchased at registration. The current kit is BSN (Vertical Stripe).

- SOCCER SHOES. Indoor turf soles or futsal flats are best. Athletic shoes may also be worn but are not ideal (ankle injuries). NO CLEATS indoors.

HELPFUL TIPS:

•Players will receive a game and practice schedule from their coach about 7-14 days prior to the start of the season. Indoor seasons come together at the last minute on the league level. Please be patient and only contact Stow SC if you haven't heard from your coach 7 days prior to the first game.

•Please arrive to games at least 20 minutes before each game so that the team may able to start on time.

•Please write your player’s name on his/her soccer ball in several places in permanent marker so that a forgotten ball can be returned. Please make sure your player has all clothing and equipment before leaving practices and games.
